Due to the global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic causing a partial or total suspension in the international air transportation network, our air mail services have been accordingly limited to only a part of our services and destination countries.
As the air transportation capacity has significantly reduced, air conveyance fees have been surging and the airlines have further difficulties in loading large items. In such circumstance, transportation of light-weighted but large-sized items becomes more challenging.
In case the current situation persists for a longer period and in order to load more items on the limited cargo space,our pricing system for items containing goods (EMS, air parcel, small packets, K-Packet services) was adjusted to apply a higher value between the actual weight and the volumetric weight*, starting from 15 December 2020. *Calculation for volumetric weight = length × width × height / 6,000
We recommend you to use a package in an appropriate size and material for the contents and not to excessively use inner packing materials to reduce the unnecessary volumetric weight. We are asking for your kind understanding and cooperation.
